NATIONAL TEAMS OF TECHNOLOGY SUPPORT PROGRAM
The Turkish Technology Team Foundation provides various supports to teams which aim to specialize in specific fields and develop projects every year. It aims to support young people that conduct projects as a team and are in need of financial and technical support in this context in order for them to participate in national and international competitions through support programs.
What Is the National Teams of Technology Support Program?
The National Teams of Technology Support Program is a comprehensive project support program run by the Türkiye Technology Team Foundation to support teams that develop technology projects, work with a team culture, and aim to represent our country in international competitions. The program aims to ensure that innovative projects developed by young people do not remain only at the idea stage; instead, they are brought to life through technical, financial, and organizational support.
This program offers a strategic structure that supports teams especially those working in advanced technology fields in growing sustainably, strengthening their technical competencies, and reaching a level where they can compete on international platforms.
Purpose and Priorities of the Program
The main purpose of the program is to strengthen Türkiye’s qualified human capital in science and technology, promote a culture of project development, and contribute to raising teams that will strongly represent our country in international technology competitions.
In this context, the priority is not only short-term competition success but also long-term technical depth, a sustainable team structure, and strong project development capacity. The program aims to increase our country’s technology production capacity by supporting innovative, original, and technically strong projects.
Which Teams and Projects Are Supported?
Within the scope of the Support Program, teams that participate in internationally recognized competitions with clear and objective technical criteria, and that align with our country’s technology vision, are evaluated.
Applicant teams are expected to demonstrate strong technical command of their project, present a detailed project plan, and clearly define the distribution of responsibilities within the team. In addition, a sustainable team structure, technical expertise, and competition experience are among the key criteria in the evaluation process.
It is also considered a positive evaluation factor if a team applying to an international competition has, where possible, gained experience and achieved success in the national counterpart of that competition.
Who Can Apply?
The program is intended for student teams at the high school, university, and graduate levels that develop projects in the field of technology. In addition, teams that specialize in specific technical fields and have the potential to represent our country in international competitions may also apply.
Applicant teams are expected to have an active project process, progress in accordance with the competition timeline, and be able to document their technical infrastructure. The program supports team-based projects rather than individual applications.
Application Requirements and Process
Applications for the National Teams of Technology Support Program are submitted online through the Türkiye Technology Team Foundation Corporate Management System. During the application process, teams are required to provide detailed information about the competition they plan to participate in, technical project documents, a budget plan, and information regarding the team structure.
After passing the preliminary review stage, applications proceed to technical evaluation. Teams deemed eligible are included in a detailed evaluation process in line with their project content. At the end of the process, official support planning is carried out with the teams that qualify for support.
The conditions required for team members of a project to benefit from the support include supporting trainings and programs intended for the secondary and high school students of the Turkish Technology Team, presenting the Turkish Technology Team as one of their sponsors, using the Foundation’s logo in the competitions they joined. Supports and Opportunities Provided
Within the program, teams that qualify for support are provided with technical material assistance, consultancy services, and various opportunities related to competition preparation processes for their projects.
While material support is determined according to the technical requirements of the project, consultancy services strengthen teams’ processes of technical verification, testing, design development, and project management. In addition, to help teams prepare more effectively for competition processes, camp programs, workshop visits, and mentoring sessions may be organized.
The program does not only provide financial support; it also offers a holistic support model that contributes to the development of a strong project culture.
Evaluation Criteria
In evaluating teams, the project’s technical depth, originality, and feasibility are examined as primary factors. In addition, the team’s technical expertise, clarity of task distribution, sustainable work plan, and command of competition requirements are taken into account.
Team members’ sense of responsibility, capacity to progress in accordance with the project timeline, and previous competition experience also play an important role in the evaluation process. The goal is to support teams not only with short-term success potential but also with long-term technology production capacity.
